1. We know the username.
2. We have mobile phones with registered mobile numbers to get verification codes. OR
3. We know the username.
4. We know the last password associated with this account.
Otherwise, we will not be able to restore our account.
So, let’s start with the steps. The steps to recover your Gmail account are listed below:
1. Go to Google’s recovery page on your computer.
We can directly use the URL: https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery .
For example
1. Consider the following Gmail ID – javatpoints6@gmail.com
2. Here, javatpoints6 is the username.
3. We can also just specify the username to log in, i.e. javatpoints6.
4. If we specify the domain (@gmail.com), it will not have any effect.
5. A new page will appear.
6. Click on the Next button to proceed with account recovery as shown above.
7. A new page will appear. We need to specify the last password associated with this account.
8. After specifying the password, click the “Next” button, as shown below:
9. We have now successfully undeleted or restored our account.
A new page will appear.
10. Click the “Continue” button to continue, as shown in the above image.
11. We are now logged into our recovered account. We can now easily access our account.
If we don’t remember our password
The steps to recover your account when you forget your password are as follows:
1. Go to Google’s recovery page on your computer. We can directly use the URL: https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
2. A new page will appear.
3. Specify the username or phone number associated with the Gmail account we want to restore.

8. Since we don’t remember the last password associated with this account, click on the “Try something else” option as shown above.
A new page will appear. We need to specify the verification code sent to the registered mobile number.
9. We can click the “Text” or “Call” button accordingly.
Let’s click on the text button.
10. A new page will appear. We now need to specify the 6-digit verification code in the box
11. Click the “Next” button as shown above.
12. A new page will appear to specify a new password
13. After assigning a password, click the “Save Password” button As shown above.
14. Click the Continue button on the new page
15. We are now logged into our recovered account. We can now easily access our account.
If we don’t have a mobile phone, we need to click on the “I don’t have a mobile phone” option.
We now need to specify an email address that can be used to contact us.
