How to enable two-step verification for your Google account

Set up two-step verification (2FA)
Go to the 2-step verification page.
You may need to log into your Gmail account.
If you see the introductory screen, click Get Started.
Enter your mobile number and select SMS, then click Next.
Once you receive the verification code on your phone, enter it into Step 2 and click Next.
In the last step, click on to enable two-step verification on your Google account.

“The setting you’re looking for doesn’t apply to your account.” on the 2-Step Verification page, you’ll need to enable it in your Google Admin console. If you are not a Google Workspace administrator, please contact them for assistance.

2. Click Security > Basic Settings
3. Click the checkbox next to Allow users to turn on 2-step verification.
